Raw Spitt

Here is one I have been wanting to put up for awhile. I guess Swamp Dogg didn;t want to flood the market with his albums, so he recruited Charlie Whitehead to become Raw Spitt and made this album. Pretty much the same vein as ol Swamp Dogg.

Here is the wonderful album "The Backbone of America Is A Mule And Cotton" from Abner Jay. An awesome one-man-band. Side A has the title track plus 5 Stephen Foster hits, side B is a Medley of six gospel songs. Dad had this hidden amongst the Various Artists section, along with a few other nice records that will be thrown up here at some point.

Ouray some kinda power pop group from Chicago, I am guessing. 1980 single brought to you by Taxi Records, Catalog Number- Cab-s1001 , so maybe their first/only(?) release????

picked this 7" up at the old acme records, here in town. this folder shall contain both sides in both 45 and 33 rpms. i accidentally played it on 33 once, thought it sounded "coo.l"

Here is an album I picked up at the Alley Walk a couple years back. The first solo album by Jorma Kaukonen of Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna fame. This is also credited to Tom Hobson, who has two of the songs on here. A bunch of originals by both men, along with some Rev. Gary Davis and other cover tunes. And an awesome flying psychedelic ice cream cone-man cover.
This is guitars, voice and a few strings. Which seems like it will veer into cheeseiness, but it stays cool throughout.

here is an album i have wanted to put up for a while now. found this down in the basement while searching for records to play at the first BUST A NUT PRODUCTION. i dismissed went past it at first because of the horrible cover design. but came back and grabbed it. and totally glad i did. i often refer to this album as "grocery store funk." but maybe it is just r&b or smooth jazz. i don;t know or really care.
